On Monday, we had to say goodbye to Sister Anttila as it was her last day in the office for the week.
I have really enjoyed having her in the mission office with us.
She is so sweet and kind. Oh how I love her.
At least we get a few more days with the Taylors and Sister Leavitt.
We were glad to have the APs helping try to get WhatsApp set up for Sister Taylor on her IPhone,
and the history transferred from Elder Shurtz's android phone.

Goodbye to Elders Helske and Aardema.
On Friday, while we were at the DVV and then the Christmas market,
Sister Leavitt had two packages that she needed to pick up. They were both big and HEAVY.
She called to get some help to bring them home, but I did not even hear my phone ring.
She called the Assistants and the Engles as well, but no one was able to help.
She put them in an IKEA bag and started towards her apartment.
She could only go a short distance and then would set the bag down and rest.
Finally a girl came up to her and said that she could help.
Together, they were able to carry the bag to her apartment.
I'm so glad that someone finally came to her rescue!
This is what one of the boxes was - an instapot.
Not sure how the missionary is going to take this with them every transfer! This is the picture that was sent in the mission chat representing the 117 friends who came to church on Sunday throughout the mission. This exceeded their goal of 101 friends to Sacrament meeting!
On Christmas Eve we stopped by Clas Olson to check to see if they had a box we could buy to send some of our clothing items home. They did, but you have to buy 5 of them.
We got the dimensions so we could figure out what size we might need.
We met the Taylors at the mission office to do more training with them.
Later on in the day we all went to Sister Leavitt's house for Christmas dinner.

It was so kind of her to fix dinner for us all!
I am so grateful that she has been serving in the mission office with us.

She is like an older sister to me. I have really come to love her!
We met up with the Aura's (and the APS) at the Espoo cemetery.

We love the way that everyone lights candles for their loved ones on Christmas Eve.
It was time to say goodbye to the Auras. We walked across the river and through the light display that was there before heading home.

to do some more training with the Taylors.
Steve did the car scavenger hunt with them.
We went over to the Mission Home in the afternoon to say a final goodbye to all of the Lehtinen family.
Oh how we love each one of them! We are so grateful that we have gotten to know them.
We really feel like they are family!
It was difficult to say goodbye to President and Sister Lehtinen! We went back to our temporary apartment and fixed some salmon and beans

and trying to fit everything into our 4 large suitcases and our carry-ons.
We spent the rest of the evening and then next morning getting everything
gathered up and packed up and ready to go.
Here we are getting ready to haul everything down so the Taylors can pick us up.
Steve went to Clas Olson to buy a box. He asked if they could sell him just one, they said no, but then they went in the back to check and came back with a single box and told him that he could just have it. It was the size we were planning to buy.
We packed up Steve's boots and our clothes that we were sending home by UPS.
We paid for it online and printed the label.
We took the box to a store that is a pick up point for UPS and dropped it off there.
Hoping that it will make it home.

It was time to say goodbye to the Office Elders - Elders Dieker and Moir.
Elder Shurtz turned in his car fob.
We ate our final dinner at the mission office, leftover soup.Final pictures in the mission office.Shut the office door for the final time.Loaded the last of our things into the mission van.Elder Taylor drove us to the airport hotel. Sister Leavitt had come to the office later in the day so she would be able to say goodbye. She came with us to the airport. We parked the van and all went inside.
We said a final goodbye to Sister Leavitt.
One last group picture along with all of our luggage.
We got settled into our room and walked over to the airport
so we would know what to expect the next morning.
We had to get up early. Somewhere around 3:45 I think. We showered and got ready.
We took our checked luggage over to the airport at 4:30 and got checked in and dropped off our bags.
We went back over to the hotel and had some breakfast. Their breakfast buffet started at 4:00am!
We went back to our room and gathered up our carry-ons
and personal items and headed back to the airport to go through security.
Goodbye Finland! We are going to miss you!
