New Senior couple and Return and Report

Monday morning we saw something that we have not seen for several months now.
The lights were on along our walking path.

They turned off before we got to the forest.
It was also COLD!
I wore by headband and some stretchy gloves. There was frost on the plants.
The office elders were trying out some new tie knots.
Elder O'Bryan tried this swirl knot.
It ends up a bit short.
On Tuesday, Elder and Sister Corbridge arrived.
We had a welcome dinner with them at the mission home.
We got an airbnb for them in our apartment building. Here they are with all their luggage.
We fed them breakfast on Wednesday morning and then took them to the mission office to help them get their phones, emails, WhatsApp, Facebook messenger, et. set up and do some training with them.
Elder Corbridge got here with a bad head cold. After a full day at the office we took them to our apartment to have some soup that we had made for dinner. We left them to eat and then go to their airbnb to get to bed early.
We took Sister Leavitt and went to the temple. It was Return and Report and a very full session.
There were 30 young missionaries on the session. We got a picture with some of them.
Thursday morning we were at the mission home
doing training with the missionaries who have been in country for 6 weeks.
Elder Shurtz held his car clinic,
and car scavenger hunt.
I helped them play a game to learn about the road signs.
What does this mean?
No Parking M-F 8am - 5pm and Sat 8am - 1pm.
It's easy once you understand.

We drove a couple of the sisters to the train station. The companions were there waiting for them.
We drove back to the mission home and picked up the Corbridges
and took them back to the mission office for some additional training.
We had the leftover soup for dinner at our apartment.
At 10:00 we took them to drop their car off at the night train. Then we walked with them to the train station and waited until it was time for their train to leave and helped them get on the right train car.
We got home about midnight.
We have been noticing the beautiful leaves near the mission office as they are changing colors.
On Saturday, we took a trip to Salo. Sister Lehtinen had told me about a place there called Design Hill. It has lots of different Finnish made or Nordic made products. Sister Leavitt came with me.
One cute little item was this hedgehog doorstop. Really cute, but too heavy and expensive to take home.
Steve went to the Electronics Museum while we shopped. Just look at all those phones and radios!
While Sister Leavitt and I were looking at Marimekko things in the store, Steve found a Marimekko TV.
We also stopped at the Muurla glass shop before we headed home. It was a beautiful day for a drive.
The leaves are turning. There were many birch trees that seemed to have lost most of their leaves.
We saw a couple of these trucks loaded with huge logs.
They are double long trucks.
We got home in time to participate via zoom with Eliza's baptism. We glad that we could join in.
We enjoyed watching the Saturday morning session of general conference live at 7pm Finland time.
On Sunday, we watched replays of the Saturday afternoon and evening sessions and then the live broadcast of the Sunday morning session. It was an inspiring and uplifting conference.
It just seems very odd to watch at such different times than what we are used to.
(Not sure just when we will be able to watch the Sunday afternoon session.)
